Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) of dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups soda water or lemon-lime soda
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (optional, to taste)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit Base
In a large pitcher, combine the sliced strawberries, sliced peaches, orange liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. If you prefer a sweeter sangria, add sugar to taste. Stir gently to mix the ingredients, being careful not to crush the delicate fruit pieces.

Step 2: Add the Wine
Pour the bottle of dry white wine into the pitcher and stir gently to combine all ingredients. The gentle stirring helps preserve the integrity of the fruit while ensuring all flavors begin to meld together.

Step 3: Allow Flavors to Develop
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours. This resting period is crucial as it allows the fruit flavors to infuse into the wine and the wine to extract color from the strawberries, creating that beautiful blush hue.

Step 4: Add Effervescence
Just before serving, add the soda water or lemon-lime soda for a refreshing fizz. Stir gently to combine—aggressive stirring will cause the carbonation to dissipate quickly.

Step 5: Serve with Style
Serve the sangria over ice in wine glasses or tumblers, making sure to include some of the macerated fruit in each glass. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and aromatic complexity
