- 1 cup sour apple juice
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (3 oz) flavored gelatin (green apple)
- 1 packet (1 oz) unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup sour apple candy or sour sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sour apple juice and tequila over medium heat. Stir until heated but not boiling.
- Gradually whisk in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
- Once the mixture is heated, remove it from the heat and sprinkle the flavored gelatin and unflavored gelatin over the liquid. Let it sit for a minute to bloom.
- Whisk the mixture until all the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into silicone molds, filling each mold about three-quarters full.
- Place the molds in the refrigerator and let them set for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, carefully remove the gummies from the molds.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the sour apple candy or sour sugar. Roll each gummy in the mixture to coat.
- Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
